Frequently asked questions

Is this image converter really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on the number of files. The site is supported by ads.
Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. All conversion runs in your browser and your files never leave your device. The server only receives anonymous counters that contain no file names or content (source/target format, size, duration).
How many files can I convert at once?
There is no fixed limit. In practice your device’s memory is the limit; hundreds of average-sized photos work fine.
Which format should I choose?
Use WebP or AVIF for photos on the web, JPG for maximum compatibility, and PNG for logos and screenshots that need transparency. See our guides for details.
Can animated GIFs or WebP files be converted?
Animated GIF and WebP inputs stay animated when you choose GIF as the output (in browsers that support ImageDecoder, such as Chrome and Edge). For other formats the first frame is used.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes, in current mobile browsers. Very large images or AVIF encoding can be slower on phones because of limited memory.
