Social Media Image Resizer

To pick a social media size, click one of the quick buttons above (Instagram 1080×1080, YouTube 1280×720 and so on), drop your files in and convert. Images are scaled to the exact size and the overflow is cropped from the centre. Platforms change recommended sizes, so check the current requirements.

Drop, choose or paste files above to get started.

You can set a separate format, quality and size for each file.

How it works

Pick a platform with the quick buttons at the top; the resize setting is applied for you. The default mode is “Fill and crop”: the image is scaled to cover the target size and whatever overflows is cut from the centre. If nothing may be cut, choose “Fit and add padding (px)” in the Size section to add colour or blurred padding instead.

Common sizes

Note: platforms change their recommended sizes from time to time. These are commonly used values; before an important publication check the platform’s own help page. For platforms with a file-size limit use the “Target file size” option. To make a square without cropping see make image square.

Frequently asked questions

Will part of the image be cut off?
In the default “Fill and crop” mode, yes, if the aspect ratio differs. Choose “Fit and add padding” to avoid cropping.
Which format is best?
JPG for photographs, PNG for logos and graphics with text. Most platforms recompress what you upload, so keep quality high (85–92).
Can I make several platform sizes at once?
The settings apply to all loaded files, so run one size at a time. For a single file that needs a different size, use the per-file settings button on its card.
Are my files uploaded?
No, everything is processed in your browser.
